Enter Sara El-Masri, age 6 from Rowville Victoria.
“I want to fly kites, then I want to go on a board in the water, no wait, first I want to go on those board thingies on the land, then the water”.
Sara came across Kite Boarding on a recent trip to Rosebud with Kite Republic. Instructor Chris Sal insisted she give it a go. So with the approval for mum Jo, Chris strapped a harness on her, got out the trainer kite and in no time she was flying. The smile and excitement on her face was priceless.
“I love Kite boarding and can’t wait to do it again. I like Chris, he’s a funny man and it was fun flying kites with him”, Sara Said. When asked what Sara wants to do next she replied, “I want to go on a board next on the land, then the water after that, it looks like fun”.
“I was completely comfortable and trusted Chris 100% to teach Sara how to Kite Board,’’ Sara’s mum Jo said.
“He is a great instructor and amazing with kids. He taught her in a way that a 6 year old could understand. It was just so cute when he put the harness on Sara and carried her over to the kite. She looked so happy and was having so much fun flying the kite. If any parents are wanting to involve their kids in a healthy, fun and exciting sport then I highly recommend Chris and the team at Kite Republic to teach them Kite Boarding. They are a fun team and very easy to become friends with”.
It’s recommended that all children are supervised by an experienced instructor when learning how to Kite Board.
